Aalborg Airport (AAL) is a dual-use (civilian/military) airport located in Norresundby, Denmark, which is 6.5 km (4.0 mi) northwest of Aalborg. Aalborg Airport is the third largest airport in Denmark with more than one million travelers per year.
Access
Taxi
There are taxis traveling to the city available from outside the terminal building.
Bus
There are two airport bus services that take passengers from the airport to: Aabybro, Frederikshavn via S?by and Hirtshals via Bronderslev and Hjorring. There are also coaches to Aalborg.
Road
There are several options available to travelers arriving and leaving the airport: car; bus; and taxi services.
Directions
From Aalborg
Take route 180 just over the Limfjord Bridge. Afterwards take route 55 until just outside Norresundby. Follow the signs.
From north (from Hirtshals)
Take the highway (route E39). Take exit 10. Follow route 11 until the round-about-crash with route 55. Take route 55 and follow the signs.
From north-east (from Frederikshavn)
Take the highway (route E45). Take exit 21. Go right through Norresundby. In the t-cross go left on route 55. Follow the signs.
From south (from Aarhus)
Take the highway (route E45). Take exit 21. Go right through Norresundby. In the t-cross go left on route 55. Follow the signs.
From west (from Thisted)
Take route 11 against Aalborg. Just outside Norresundby, in the round-about, go left against Aalborg. Follow the signs.
